JR 10X conversion
Has anyone converted a JR 10X from 72 to 2.4?
If you have, how do you like it? |

10x
Hi Jack, been running my 10x on the Spektrum module since it was available last year and it works great. Absolutely no issues flying 100cc size planes.
hardest thing to get use to is not having a big ole antena hanging out front. I luv new toys but, I'm really hard pressed to go for the new 2.4 12x when the 10x with module works so well Mike |

Mike, thanks for the info..Just not ready to give a good radio just yet..
I have to keep it for my Yak anyway, as it has a Weatronics in it and the receivers are 72 and not changeable yet. |

Is the Futaba 14MZ you reciently purchased not able to be converted to 2.4 MHz. Sorry, I am not too familiar with this radio other than I know it about as top end as you can get! Was just wondering! Thanks. Upgrading your current radio is probably the best way to go if you already own a good radio like the JR 10X. I just bought my first ever JR radio, an X9303 2.4. Haven't used it yet but I think is going to be an awsome radio for me! Seems 2.4 is definitely the way to go! All the best!

Hi Gary,
Yes i have converted my 14MZ to 2.4 already..But i have some smaller planes i wouldn't mind changing the 10X over if it works well..Nothing wrong with 72 either though and as i said i need to keep for my Yak anyway. I will gradually change everything over to the 14MZ if it works well..I have two 2.4 receivers to start with. Your choice on the 9303 is probably the best so far..Anyone that i know that owns one really speaks highly about it. |

I know what you mean about changing over Rx's. I had at least 6 Rx's for my Hitec radio, which were down to as low as $30 each. Now I have to start over paying approx $170 each for the 9 chs. Will probably pick up 3 or 4 of the 7 ch Rx's for my smaller planes, only $99 ea. Thanks Jack, appreciate the input!
