Looking for QUALITY linkages

I'm looking for a good source of QUALITY linkage parts to sort of customize my throttle and brake linkage setups on my buggy and truggy.
I've come across some cheap rod with threaded ends at my LHS's, but the problem is its not the nice hard stuff that comes with some kits. Its very very easy to bend, and subsequently suffers damage occasionally during use.
The stuff I'm looking for is the nice, hard, chrome looking kind of rods that are threaded on the ends and can be cut to length.
Anyone know where I can get this stuff in the GTA??
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have used DT Stainless mountainbike spokes, on my custom linkages. Cheap, hard, threaded on one end, Z-bend on the other and availiable at any good bike shop.
