I have a DX5e never used -- still in the box ...... has charger & 4 NiMH AA Cells ..... you can have real cheap ..... but as already stated ...... its a basic unit .... not much smart about it ..... and it's not in the PID range of the 5e's that have a problem acting as slaves in a buddy box setup .....

Its not much but it should get you through your first plane or two with low start up cost... once you figure out what you want in a high end Tx and save the $$ .... you can use it as a buddy box in your setup ....

Just sayin .... do some more research .... if you decide you want to go that route .... its just sitting here ... I'm not using it .... and you're not that far .....
