And how do you like it? Did you modify it to run straight off the rx? Are you flying at Balf tomorrow?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

The ones that Lorne sells, correct. I'm using one on my stand, works well. One in my 55cc Ultimate, works as advertised. I have two more. Don't think they are installed in anything. Might be one in Dusty. If so it works good.
Two are powered off of my receiver, or my flight batteries.
Bawlf, yes. But it will be afternoon before it is windy enough. Are you able to join me?

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I was thinking around noon for some flight testing. Got some stuff to take care of in the am then I should be able to make it out.

Get in touch with me. That might be a do-able time. I do want to get some flying in tomorrow. A visit would be a nice icing on the day, my friend.

When I was reading the rcxl instructions it says solder two shorts and cut the batt in wire off and now it can run off the rx. Was wondering if anyone else had done it before. Normally I run the smartfly opti kill reg ign kills.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I use both and have had no problems with either. I am getting rather fond of the Ultra Ibec though.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I run one in the 92" extra and 111" extra and 76" edge. Worked as they should.
When I went to florida this is all they seemed to use. So I started giving them a try.
