Re: Website for buying rc truck kits

Sounds like a summit maybe? Depends how fast you want to go I guess...

It's pretty hard to find kits for bashers these days, unless you get into buggies or truggies.

I see you're from Saskatchewan, anywhere near Regina?

Future Shop or Bestbuy. They have a wide assortment of Traxxas vehicles.

Re: Website for buying rc truck kits

Sorry, I want to adjust my above statement as I have gotten a complaint from a local hobby shop.

While i did mention that everyone should check out our sponsors in the 3rd post
https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/forumdisplay.php?f=154
^^^ THIS IS A LINK TO OUR PAYING SPONSORS ^^^

I didn't realize that stating that by going to best buy or futureshop for traxxas was also a nono after I already said support your LOCAL HOBBY SHOPS.

This is one of those absurd positions where I can't speak as a hobbyist but have to speak as someones whos opinion has been bought.

I buy all my RC stuff at local hobby shops. Hobby Hobby, Galaxy etc. I have not bought anything from FS or BS though their traxxas selection is pretty awesome.

As a consumer, shop where you will and where you want. The sponsors here help keep RCCs lights on and the board running for all of us to enjoy, and for that I appreciate them and you should give them a chance to EARN your business.. The LHS also extend a great service that FS and BB could not provide, experience.

good for not being a sell out RCRick. tell me which hobby shop wants to silence your opinion, they will lose my business.

Re: Website for buying rc truck kits

Didn't take them long did it... Anyways, the reason why I asked if the OP was from Regina is because the new RC Hobbies store in town is very good, with knowledgeable staff and competitive pricing. Everything I've seen on the shelf is very close to or even lower in price than FS or BB for traxxas stuff. He gets the bulk of my business. He also has the ability to order in nearly anything you'd like, with a quick turnaround for orders.

That said, I've ordered from both BB and FS as well, but as stated earlier, good luck asking one of those people why your slipper clutch won't bite, or you can't bind your radio.

Also, when you look at the sponsors message board you can see clearly that only 2 of the 12 sponsors with their own section have even posted THIS YEAR! Neither one of those two are interested in selling the OP a Summit either...
