I tried to find out the same info several months ago. I couldn't get any satisfaction so I sent it off to Radio South in Florida, they did a good job at a reasonable price and the whole procedure proved to be absolutely painless. Give them a try www.radiosouthrc.com

A couple of years past, I sent two old Futaba G series FM transmitters to UDISCO in Montreal to have them converted to narrow band and have them checked and tuned. I know, I could have probably bought new radios for the same price as converting the old ones, but I just can't through anything away. Besides, those old "G" series were beautiful radios! Rock solid and dependable. Anyway, UDISCO did all the work as advertised and their turn-around time was only 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. I was satisfied. Sent the radios by Canada Post and UDISCO returned them the same way. They specialize in Futaba products, but I don't see why they couldn't work on others. Give them a call.

Yah...........I have a JR radio and it's a pain to have to send it to Horizon hobbies for service. I sent a used 10 channel receiver for repairs. It was still no good upon return and it gets to the point of not being worth it. I need the lithium battery changed in my Transmitter and am dreading the turn around time. Oh well.............If that's the worst that ever happens I guess I'm OK!!!!!!

Does anyone know of anyone in Canada that does JR repairs? I also want to change a battery. I'm thinking of doing it myself. Has anyone done this? Thanks rcjetguy

Radio Repairs in East end Toronto, Ontario

Hi guys; Ron Chapman used to fix radios .

The LHS in Barrie used to send radios down to Ron for repair and I have taken a couple over to his house for repair.

He is retired and does it out of kindness to us junior hobby people. He has very good rates and is a great guy to deal with.

As soon as I find my phone book I can post his number. It was previously posted here some where.

Pretty vague eh :

I sent my 10X in to Horizon just abotu this time last year for a new lithium battery and a check up. I sent it express post, and I had it back in my hands in 3 weeks. Thats not a long time, including shipping there and back to me.

I also have had excellent results sending Airtonics radios to Airtronics in the USA.
