I think you all should come to Wolfe Island and get some flying in for the day. A FPV day! You still owe me a day Max!

I'd love to come up to Kingston area to do some FPV, I used to go up there all the time. It'd be awesome to fly around some of those windmills

Although it might be a little too windy for multirotors, especially during the summer. I could see something like a Zephyr and other wings that are a little larger could handle it without much issue though.

Re: Where do you fpv

Its actually not bad. Mornings are great and after 6:00 pm. We do actually have very calm days during the summer. However....when we do get winds....oh...do we get winds!

I used to spend weeks at a time up at the RMC campus sailing in 16' sailboats with the Sea Cadets, so I know ALL about the wind

But you're right, early morning and later in the evening it is nice.

Nothing like walking out onto the dock at 7AM to no wind, water as calm as glass and to see the turbines just barely start to move.

Trust me. I want to come. Just need to convince the wife to take a little more time off work so we can head over there. We presently do a lot of weekend trips with the travel trailer but stay relatively close to home because we are only out for 2 days at a time. We need double that to make it worth the trip.

Re: Where do you fpv

I wouldn't worry too much about the wind with your mini quad DarkShot. I flew mine yesterday in 50km/h+ wind. Upwind passes were pretty slow going, but downwind were downright BLISTERING fast! All told it handled the wind really well.

Max, when you head out to Wolfe Island, let me know. I'll go too and we'll do a little FPV shindig!

As to where I FPV? Wherever I can! Here's some fun in the parking garage when I was stuck at work on Saturday during a little downtime

I like to FPV here on Lake Huron. Going to continue my Bruce Penninsula tour this summer.
