Winter is almost over...I hope!
So for me winter has been busy with building a 450 FBL Trex and installing a 3GX unit on my older but new to me 600. Nothing major just enough to build up the anticipation of spring.
I just thought I'd share one of my side projects/interests hoping other people who read this will share what they did over the cold months. Here it is... my first painted canopy. She's a beaut! lol

Its not meant to be flown. However, it has to be! The guy that showed me how to use a airbrush is a long time bike builder/painter/rebuilder. I thought it would be nice to do my first with a Harley Davidson theme seeing his nickname is HD. He sparked a bug that burns up idle time!

This winter has been pretty tame, I figure if my Mikado unit is rated to -15 ( I know I am not) some cheap dollar store snug gloves, and away we go...have been flying my 600FBL every chance I get outdoors...as along as it aint snowin' or blowin' too hard...why not..its been a blast..today looks promising after work...was really itchin' to try the new floats I have to land in the snow...but so far, the snow side has been pretty tame...so far...

Yeah OK thre HiFly2104..that would require me to remove the current landing gear and attach the floats and balance it out in the bathtub! I can just see my wife.." Ok now I know you have lost it, bathing your Trex600FBL",,,, then the guys in the extra long sleeve white wraparound jackets show up.... LOL
