Abiye had his share of misfortune with breaking. He broke in the warm up lap for his main.

There is a garbage truck out back that sells food and a McDonalds 5 minutes away. Other than that I would recommend heading toward Ohio State Campus area in town (10 minute drive). There are lots of places to eat there. Apparently the area is less desirable at night so be careful. Also buy the parking pass for the week at the front gate for the fair grounds. It is cheaper than paying daily. I think they might put the Nitro pits in another building to keep you guys out of the smoke. You can go to www.crcrc.com (in their forum section) for more info. Good luck guys!

(note to self for next year, run more than 1 class)

Ahhhh * man, that's crap! The REAL heartbreaker was that you STILL made the C main, and only had one qualifier!!!

Thanks for the heads up! It's a shame you didn't get to race more. No worries I'm sure you'll do better the next time you're out.

as far as tires to use everyone used slick pink tapers but the track was drying a bit by the end and for the last 4 hours of sunday it was ghosted pin tapers that were the choice... if you are going to mount tires, use the firmest inserts you can get like the blue ones form proline and j concepts or the aka's... i would think the tires of choice will be tapers in pink, switches in clay or bar-codes in gold... i don't think you will be able to run slicks as the bigger cars will have a harder time staying in the groove so the will kick up more loose dirt... remember it will will be cold so keep that in mind when building your shocks

Next time have your 1/8 Buggy and Truggy to work on maybe.

Feel really bad for you. I've been there before.

Nitro will go better for you

Good luck to everyone that goes.
