South Haldimand Skyhawks Fun Fly July 16th
Attention fellow RC Pilots,
This club was Ontario's best kept secret until now. The South Haldimand Skyhawks, Located at Kindy Airstrip in Selkirk Ontario, just 10 minutes south of Cayuga, are hosting a Fun Fly on Saturday, July 16th (rain date Sunday, July 17th). Come one and all. There's NO admission fee! The airspace is vast and they have no noise issues, so bring your biggest birds and let 'em rip. They'll have food and prizes too. Sponsors: Hobby Hobby and Skycraft Hobbies https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/cale...=getinfo&e=236 http://www.maac.ca/clubs/clubs_info.php?clb=135 GPS: N 42.85030 W 079.87470 Cheers! Re: South Haldimand Skyhawks Fun Fly July 16th
I would love to attend, unfortunately I am committed to another event further away.
Have a great event on the weekend, maybe next year there will be no conflicts.

Re: South Haldimand Skyhawks Fun Fly July 16th
Hey everyone, my name is Bruce Dixon and I and numerous other members have organized this event, but I also want to mention we are looking for new members. We offer a well manicured field right beside a full scale strip! We have a club house, pic-nic tables under a new awning, outhouse and even a firepit to sit around after a day of flying, You can camp overnight but there aren no hookups. And yes, if you are new to this hobby and you want to learn you can still join and someone will be glad to assist you, This ckub has a very relaxed atmosphere, no politics no noise limit, so bring out that biggest, baddest, noisey bird and have some fun this July 16th, Remember, we follow MAAC guidelines so you must have MAAC or AMA to particapate, I look forward to seeing everone out there for a great day of flying, prizes, food, and fun, Thanks,Bruce

Re: South Haldimand Skyhawks Fun Fly July 16th
We had a fabulous fun fly today. In all we had over 60 guests between pilots, their families and spectators. It was a perfect day with sunny clear blue skies and just a wisp of wind to keep us cool. The runway was better than ever...like smooth, flat broadloom, thanks to the local members' efforts. We had quit a variety of aircraft, including gas, glow and EDF-Jets, etc...We even had a full-scale cub drop in to visit for a while.
Thanks to all who attended and to our sponsors Hobby Hobby and Skycraft Hobbies for supplying the pilot's prizes and the kits we raffled. www.hobbyhobby.com www.skycrafthobbies.com Also, thanks to Middle Ontario zone director Roy Rymer for dropping in bearing gifts. He took a few pilot photos including the many aircraft and our sponsors' banners in the foreground....we may even make it into an upcoming MAAC magazine Finally, a special thanks to all the members who pulled together to hold our first fun fly in many years...it was a great day indeed....lets do it again next year! For membership info/contact, visit our MAAC page: http://www.maac.ca/clubs/clubs_info.php?clb=135 Cheers Den |
