Great example Hanes. I think a Kit for the 150cc class cost as much as the H9 Sukhoi, under $1500.
Yet another way to look at things. Not everyone has to go through the learning curve, of building kits (plans, etc.) to get flying. Old school, is good for old people. The truth. But lessons learned are valuable. Education is experience and knowledge past on.

ARF's are getting a lot of people in our fold. They are here (old saying now).

Not a very good excuse. That just adds to the "fly by night" feel of them, making them LOW end companies.
My money is valuable to me, no matter what, and they should see it that way for all their prospective clients.
We have options, and we are exercising them.
ZDZ have been here for at least 20 years? Yet a company like DLE seems to be more of a reliable source?

Hands down, the new ARF's have it. For what an ARF gives you. You can't build a kit .

You build a kit now for pretty much only 2 reasons.

1) the simple love of building
2) to make something that little bit unique that no one else has
Used to have the love for building as well Brad, but like Dale I will start a project and never finish it nowadays.

You guys keep up the great work though...it is truly a new era.

Andy does a great job of lightening the ARF's as well....

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

Brad... I need to plug into the DA70 thread!! No surprise to me that they are having some teething problems. DA has been like the other companies of late... 85/170 issues, then the hush-hush 200 fiasco, then 60/120 issues. (I do love DA, just not those motors)

I also remember all the reed block and ignition issues 3W had and finally came out with improvements. I think they're all the same - they all have teething issues. (again, I looooooove 3w motors!)

I'd be some frustrated if I were one of the guys having the GP123 issues. But mine is beautiful and king of the class, so all I can do is praise them! Can't wait for V2

ZDZ.. Parts replacement sucks, but so worth the risk... 80, 90, 112, 160 and the top dog 180 are buttermilk smooth and so strong! The 112 and 180 being some of my alltime favorite motors

So true Trevor, but these companies do make improvements,,,It's the others that don't and simply just keep running the same course for as long as possible with the same issues...that's where all Ct engines fall and fail...to me!
