Re: How Many is Enough?

Never could quite grasp the concept of some guy having 3 of the same thing (type, power and color)!!

I must be a adrenaline junky, after they are all set-up and trimmed out (about 15-20 flights) I am always left with the nagging question, whats next!!!!

Re: How Many is Enough?

The thought of too many airplanes is a sure sign of a less than aggressive flying style which has not cought up with the aggressive collecting style.

I would advise to step up the difficulty level in the air too keep check on the planes on the ground.

Worked for me at least.

Re: How Many is Enough?

Ahhh – you guys epitomize the entire concept of RC Aircraft Modelling.

And I LIKE it!

The love of the model(s) knows no bounds and it is an uncontrollable OBSESSION.

Welcome to the disease.

I hope that they never find a cure for it.

I will be adding to my fleet shortly – but I am still limited by the space that I have available – I really hate seeing hanger rash…

I do think that all of my planes should be flown – regularly if not often. I keep working on that, but family matters keep complicating my flight time.

For now, any chance that I can escape to the field is a great day and I try to pick a plane that suits the weather and the event – it is my best reason/excuse for having a wide variety of planes.

As for all of those Great Deals that I missed out on…

There WILL be more. I’ll pick and choose as the next ones come up.

Happy Landings!

Re: How Many is Enough?

I have just under 30 planes, loved to build in winter and fly in the flying season. One day I had cancer and treating it sure blew flying away as I knew it. Changed my outlook a bit, still try to fly but only when it feels good. Am deciding how to handle the planes give them to younger members or sell. I do not wish this on any one and I do not need the poor guy thought's . That is the breaks of life.

Re: How Many is Enough?

Here is my conundrum; I see it and think "I won't be able to afford that when I retire and am on a fixed income!" so I buy it and tuck it away for later.

Now I've spent it all and can't afford to retire!!!
