Nice work Andy.
Yeah, lots of build threads this winter....sweet.
Nice to see the building bug slowly coming back. ARF's have their place.
But the feeling of building a kit is totally different.

Re: 40% carden edge/zdz160 super

Late last night I got some copper wire and made a tool for the servo wire tunnel.Worked out much better than expected, even got some free cheese doodles.I also went over the plans and cut the phenolic stab tube and glued the 1/16 balsa cap on ,then I noticed the foam is cut much deeper than the plans for the phenolic tube which in turn made the aluminum stab tube to short by 3".So I went through my scrap airplane barrel and found a nice carbon tube that I remember did not fit in my other edge (was a little tight) but fits real pretty like in this one.So the longer stab tube it is.I always thought the other one was a little short anyway

Re: 40% carden edge/zdz160 super

I finally had a chance to get back on here and carry on with the progress. In the last couple days I got the stabs lightened but my playbook was dead so no pics, but the foam weighed 2.9 oz for each stab and I cored them the same way I did the vertical lost .7 oz per stab foam witch is almost 25% so not bad.yesterday got some flying in and borrowed some pipes to get my mounting set up and tunnel done.My re3's won't be in for a month or so.I also found the new Ultimate glue (superior formula) does what they say more so than the old(low foaming)which is the reason we use it I thought.

Yep... That's quite the motor!! The real bonus is the mid-range torque due to that Rotary Valve!!

I have no doubt in my mind that the ZDZ 160 Super will eat a DA170 for breakfast in an acceleration from a hover!!! And with it, you get the smoothness!!!!
