Wedico Ferry Boat

I just bought this ferry boat today, and I love it very much.

It is in a fair condition as it is a very old kit, even older than I am.

Basic details:

1982 Wedico Ferry boat in 1/18 scale
under 5ft long at 59"
only 7 exist in the world (including mine)

As you can see in the picture, my 1/14 Tamiya Scania can fit inside the deck without any problem.

The boat can operate in water, but the railings and the ramp support requires some attention to it. I am not sure how long and how much money I need to fix it, but I will try my best to restore to its former glory.

Also, I am an amateur, and I have never restore anything this scale in my life before. It would be wonderful if someone can offer me some insights on how should I approach this restoration.

Re: Wedico Ferry Boat

Very nice score. Anything broken can be restored or fixed by using balsa wood, dowels, etc. Check with your local hobby store.

By the way....I take a ferry to work and back everyday. Wolfe Island Ferry

Re: Wedico Ferry Boat

That is so cool and it looks like it won't be too hard to restore based on it's present condition.

I checked my local hobby store, it's kinda difficult to restore for my noobish talent!

I kinda want to back out and leave it to the experts! Because I wanted to focus on an easier project instead >> 1978 Tamiya 1/16 Gepard tank!
