Servo Gear Question

I was surfing the web looking for servos for a 35% extra and I was wondering why servos with Titanium gears are usually lower in price that those with steel gears?

In typical everyday things steel things including gear are always less than titanium things.

I expect that the Titanium gear trains in servos are in fact just aluminum ( referred to as metal) with a titanium or titanium nitride coating.

Anyone know the real story here?

( anyways I bought Savox High voltage steel gear servos)
