I wont be able to make it, as this is the same weekend as the DOGS IMAA event held annually at the Dayton Airforce Museum in Dayton Ohio. This event has been on the labour day weekend, for the past 7 or 8 years.

My decision to go Dayton, is one that makes good business sense for me personally, as they usually get around 250 pilots attending. As I understand, there are a # of other Canadian SA pilots heeded there too.

Perhaps Randy would consider moving his contest date ahead one week next year, [or some other suitable date] so that these two great events would not be in conflict. I suspect the attendance level would go up at Randys contest, as a few more Americans could make the trip too.

Good luck to everyone who attends!

Just a suggestion Randy. Its obviously your call. Try not to make an abrupt decision though. Give it some more thought after your contest this year. If you recall, you originally moved your contest from July, [4 years in a row] to avoid the US Nats. I believe it was Kurt who talked you into the labour day weekend two years ago, because that was just about the only other weekend that did not already have a contest in the NC region.

I know of at least half a dozen Canadians who will be in Dayton, who would probably come to your contest, if it were on a different weekend. Then, there are the American ones too.

So far this year, we have had more than 30 competitors at every contest here in Ontario, including the Nats. Lets hope the trend continues!

I wish I could make the London contest, but as Mike said. A lot of guys do go to Dayton, for the DOGS Fly in. Me being one of them. I've been going to Dayton almost as much as Mikey has, and it really is a good time. Mind you, I had made plans for Dayton, before I even decided to fly IMAC this year. Maybe next year, I will switch it around and do the contest instead of Dayton. Although it would be nice if they didn't interfere.

Well, last year we had a hard time getting the required rounds in due to so many people at the contest... the Forest City event is awesome, will be my third year attending - bringing (as far as I know) Brandon for his first go at an IMAC contest. He was bummed to miss Sudbury, but we should be there unless something big happens...

I am looking forward to seeing you guys again. Unfortunately I havent had a chance to fly my IMAC plane since the NOIC and probably wont untill the contest so I'm going for the friends, flying and STEAK.. Not the prizes

Gas is over a buck here now, good thing I decided to buy a new truck with a big V8 in it, eh??

See you all soon!
