What the heck is happening now??
I've heard others complain about various strange things happening with their computers as regards the programming here since RCC switched over to the new format but my computer has been working flawlessly...until today.
Its happened three times in a row now, that whenever I make a couple of posts AOK then on the third or fourth, I hit the submit button and nadda, my computer freezes. Then I click on the return button, the green progress bar at the bottom ever so slowly moves and after about 3 minutes I get an error message saying " Windows Explorer does not recognize this web site or page, something like that. I cannot go forward or backwards from that point without the error message. I log off RCC and then cannot get back on for at least 10 minutes each time this has happened to me. All other websites work perfectly Ie: Great Hobbies, Horizon Hobbies, RC Groups etc. but NO RCCanada. I just have to wait it out for 10 -15 minutes and then I get back on as if nothing has happened. The only thing I have done differently is to initiate the WYSIWYG Full Text Editing and the "Smilies". That couldn't possiblely have anything to do with whats happening, could it?? This is so strange! Like I said, its been functioning perfectly up until this morning and since then its happened 3 times to me. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what is happening or what I can do to correct this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Geeeeez.....I almost afraid to hit the submit button...well, here goes!!!

Re: What the heck is happening now??
Now..if you want severe meltdown, try uploading a couple of picturers..sits and thinks for 10 minutes...tells you you are not connected to the web or the site is down...then you cant access RcCanada for about 15 minutes

Re: What the heck is happening now??
I think it may have been the WYSIWYG editor that was causing the issues. Let me know if you are still seeing this problem.

I'm going to go back into my user CP and go back to the origional setting for awhile and see if I still have the problem or not. IF not then that tells me that its quite possibly the "Editor" changes. Its worth a try. EDIT: I just went back into my USER CP to change the options for the Editor and the "WYSIWYG" option is gone!! Did you remove this option Jason in trying to correct the problems that we are having here?? Although it still says there are 3 options, I now only see 2, The basic text editor and the Standard options! The other one is gone. Well, this post is now an edited post, if its going to hang again it will be when I resubmit this post to Save Changes!.

Re: What the heck is happening now??
Well i have been experiencing same thing for many days now, i have posted about it earlier 2 times but no solution has been found as yet, as a matter of fact it happened to me this afternoon again!. This is frustrating when you have multiple posts to make or PMs to answer.

Sammy, I think you'll find the problem has now been solved. I think Jason has removed the "WYSIWYG Editor" which seems to have been the cause. Since I have come back on, I have now done a few posts and purposefully did some postings edits to see if it would happen again. And it hasn't! This is the first time since this problem started with me that I have been able to make more than 3 posts and any edits without getting that dreded error message. Thanks Jason, I do believe you've fixed the problem. Thanks also for the prompt attention to this problem as it was getting very frustrating. Now I can go about my browzing and posting without worrying about getting "frozen" out, as can everyone else!
