About 2 years ago 13 or 14 of us were having a little spring fun fly at a MAAC sanctioned field on a fellow modeler's acreage. About mid afternoon a full scale Cessna 150 jumped us from the east (from behind the house & trees) at high speed about 50 feet off of the deck! His first pass was directly through the center of our flight area almost over the flight line!
No one saw or heard him coming! There were at least 3 models in the air at the time! He was close enough that several of the guys recognized his face as a member of thier model club! He knew we were there and did it on purpose! Yes close calls DO happen & not always in our control!

Heli pilots rarely fly above 1000'agl. They get nose bleeds at that hight!
