Kitchener/Waterloo Scale Rally Sept.6&7
The plans for the KWFD (Kitchener/Waterloo Flying Dutchmen) 2008 Scale Rally are well under way.
The setting up of the field starts mid week and we expect the campers and trailers to start arriving around the same time as usual. The flying field will be open to visitors for those who want to fly during the week - float flying is close by for those who wish to do so. Scale model and stand-off scale models will be flying all day Saturday and Sunday Sept. 6&7 from 9am-5pm. As usual, there will be a spectacular night time flying demonstration Saturday evening and noon hour flying demonstrations and candy drops for the kids during both days. Vendors will be on site and modelers are also encouraged to bring their items to sell or trade with others. There is a corn roast on Friday evening, a pig roast on Saturday evening and independent food vendors there during the day. Kitchner Scale Rally where that? ok ok i beeing smart and might been there once or twice or..ALOT of times
Showing up friday with a tent. its not going to rain right<G> Plan on doing alot of sking down the blue mountain of coors with all my friends U never been there its a must.. great fun great people.. fun fun fun RB

I'm currently going to school in North Bay... about a 4 hr 30min drive from Kitchener. Having said that I don't have any scale aircraft with me. Just a few helis. Are non-scale aircraft going to be permitted?

Colin: The rally is for scale and stand-off scale (looks kinda scale from a distance) only. However, there would be flying Friday evening and after the contest on Sat. and Sun. If you wish to fly in the night flying demonstration (after dark with lit plane), let the organizers know in advance. All others: Look forward to seeing you there again! Fly4Fun, Wayne Miller |

Wayne dose a Boomerange jet look Kinda like a Vampire jet at a distance? If so I'll be more than glade to do 200 MPH inverted smoke on passes to wow the crowd for you. If not you will have to put up with my Fokker DR1 puttin by at full song at 35.
