My enya has the same type of stepped nut on it, the thread extends down into the prop hub to accomodate the thicker hubbed props. All it means is you bore the hole in the prop hub a little thicker than the bolt, and the stepped nut centers the prop.

Still should be using a compression washer to grip that prop.
