I believe the term is Optic kill switch .What channel would you put this on . I use a Hitec Eclipse 7 channel seven memory. I also sometimes use channel six and seven for dual aileron and elevator servos.

Re: Kill Switch

I use my gear switch... thats fine unless you have a 7 channel radio with 7 channels alreayd in use.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the optical kill without a dedicated channel. Perhaps Y something else together (like if you are using two aileron servos in two separate channels).

Re: Kill Switch

I used channel 5 on my Hitec Eclipse 7 for the optical kill switch. You do need to put it on a channel that has a switch function and channel 5 is a simple on/off flip of the switch. Works great. I also used a manual on/off switch to have all around functionability. For throttle I used a Hitec HS5475 Sport digital servo and programmed in the fail safe. So I am covered all the way around. Its a bit of overkill but I would rather be safe than sorry!

Re: Kill Switch

With the EDR 107P you can use the Throttle trim to kill it and its also programmable switch point and reverse, save the extra channel

Ok so looking at the diagram it shows the unit hooked to receiver but doesn't show where (what channel) It also talks about using throttle trim so does that then mean you need a Y harness on throttle channel and hook it and the throttle servo up together
