yeah cam was off a bit. I trimmed the mount a bit so it is level now. But also I have the centre set a bit to the left, and that alone makes it look tilted.

more lazy flying fun today with the Drifter twin.

But when we arrived there was for sale sign up on the farm, turns out it is being foreclosed on. Might have been our last flights there today. sad

Re: Drifter Ultralight scale fpv build

Cub flies 10x better though. This Drifter is a bit of a handful on takeoff, but it is OK once cruising. Cub is super predictable and flies like a proper plane. Also since I fly The Drifter through Mobius camera, there is something like 1/10 second latency, which can lead to some pilot induced oscillations as you might have noticed.

But I like how small the Drifter is. Tiny plane, small batteries. headtracker camera

Our club here in Calgary was forced to move out all of our equipment when we learned that our land owner had lost the farm to the bank as well!

Nice video! I hope you find a new flying field soon!

Re: Drifter Ultralight scale fpv build

ok first time in my RC career I played with dolls tonight, LOL

moving stick this time. simple. A little worried about adding weight to this touchy bird. So I only used the legs and right arm, cause it's all I see in the link and that's what it's all about. Doll is a skateboarder from Walmart, seems to be the right scale, and nice cloth clothing with very rubbery limbs.

I also added a 3 axis gyro because she porpoises a lot during takeoff. Hope that helps. Some no name 'Eagle gyro' but I have used it before.
