Hi Jason
I wish you could be here also, maybe next year. I'll make sure we have pictures.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Blue Foamie

Sadly, I have to inform you that one of our indoor flying member died yesterday. We lost our dear friend Wayne Maitland, he will be missed by all of us.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hi
Here's a copy of my post in the event section

Here's a picture of the participants at the first annual Northern Ontario Indoor Flying Challenge (N.O. IFC)
It was well attended and most of all, everyone had a good time.
I'll post the results when I receive them from Brendan
Thanks to all the participants
Special thanks to Brendan, Lee and Kent for their help in judging.
Thanks also to the spectators.

Re: Blue Foamie

It was a blast flying the F3P contest. Time flew by and there was minimal carnage but Gaston felt we could only fly two rounds to be fair to others who waited for us to do our thing. Personally I think he stopped at two because I was going to kick his ass with three rounds and one discard but its his contest Really though it was terrific fun and we will do this for a full day on a saturday sometime next year so people from out of town can join the fun. The new axis is a wonderful design and perfect for this event, just ask Brendan!

You probably would have kicked my butt Lee, thank God we stopped...lol
You're right, better timing next year, we might do it 3 times a year instead and on Saturdays.

Re: Blue Foamie

Hey all... bring those Axis' down to BMO Centre in London! We're planning a BIG indoor end of season bash. Currently the weekend of June 8th. We have the Saturday locked in and are working on extending that to the Sunday.

I'll set aside an entire quarter for some F3P fun! Gaston, you remember BMO and how big it was... should be great.

As for takeoff & landing, they have artificial soccer turf, but they also have ~20 ft x 4 ft 'ish mats that we can flip over and use for runways. Should also encourage accurate landings .

Anyway.... you're all invited. More details to follow.

Okay, yeah, I know it's a long drive... but it'll be worth it! If for no other reason than to see Gaston get his butt kicked... of course, after mine is whooped no doubt!

Cheers all,
J

Heh, heh.... all in good fun.

Actually, you'll have to bring an EPP / durable plane as well and join in on the combat fun too! (If you want to borrow one of mine - no problem.)

Cheers,
J
