Yes they are both attached using the same mounting holes. But the location of the pickup is different because the DA advances and the Rcexel retards
OK I see what you're geting at.

If one ignition is retarded and one is advanced would you want to use the advanced one??

So Brad, does one still use the degree wheel the same way, only with the rcexl it sparks first and then keep rotating for another 28 degree's? Then that's where the center of the sensor should be?

Re: DA-60 Testing ( Taming the Monster )

When i originally mounted my rcexl hall sensor on my DA, i used a stainless hose clamp and it stayed put no problem until i had a chance to drill and tap my motor where it needed to be.

LOL...... One would think that.

But the advanced one thinks to highly of itself and is actually quite obnoxious

Looking at the front front of the motor, set the piston to TDC ( top dead center )
Then rotate the degree wheel clockwise 28 degrees. Thats where the hall sensor should be for the RC exel ignition.

Ya better that way. Then one can start from the spark.

Engine is all set up on the test stand. Heading out after lunch to run a couple props and both ignitions with the stock muffler. Info coming later this afternoon
