"The game plan is to install a 2-cell 1100mAh A123 with reciever, switch and charge jack so that the upper ailerons run on a dedicated radio system."

Sounds like a good plan with such a large valuable model - but pardon my ignorance - how do you bind two separate Rx's to a single "model" in your Tx?

Honestly, I don't know how it actually works, but it works well!! I'm currently running two JR1221 Rx's in my 43% Carden Extra 300 and they work like a charm!!

You simply follow the same process as binding a plane with one Rx using the bind plug and pushing the button on the back of the Tx, only you do it twice!

My game plan is as follows on this Pitts:

* JR921 in top wings for upper ailerons

* JR1221 for left lower aileron, left elevator, 2 rudder servos, throttle

* JR1221 for right lower aileron, right elevator, 1 rudder servo, choke, ignition kill.

In other words, I'll be running 3 Rx's with their own batteries/switch and will split the plane into 3... this way, I have redundancy, it will stay clean looking, and the Amp draw into each Rx will be soo low that I won't need any powerboxes/regulators/etc.

Oh, ya!!

The bottom of the wing is sheeted and the little hatch has been made up

I also installed the switch and charge jack in the hatch for a nice solid mount.

Tonight I'll sand/shape the wing and get set-up to start on the upper right wing!!!

I'm ahead of you on this one Jim... 3 tobaggan's are already in my garage!!

Now, if I could only get home from work at a decent time to keep building!! - I've been logging some major hours this week at work and progress on the upper wings has slowed considerably!!

Hopefully tonight I can show some progress pics!

I'm guessing that didn't pan out for you.

I am still working right now, but from home, can't you tell?
