The 2011 KW Flying Dutchmen Scale Rally is now in the history books; what a fantastic weekend! The weather on Saturday could not have been better and the cooler temperatures early on Sunday were a welcomed change. Linda and I met some fantastic folks. In particular, the members of the "R/C Gypsies." In all my travels I have never met a friendlier group of people. They welcomed us into their fold and made us feel comfortable and at home; their hospitality and generosity was second to none. To Mike Fritz and all the volunteers and members of the Flying Dutchman club, I wish to extend my sincere thank you and appreciation for once again organizing and hosting a truly international and first class R/C event; the execution was flawless and I can only imagine all of the hard work that went into making this rally so successful. The only down side to the Rally is that we must wait an entire year before we can do it all again. If you couldn’t make it this year or you’ve never been, mark the KW Scale Rally weekend on your 2012 calendars, it’s always the first weekend after the Labor Day holiday weekend; you won’t be disappointed!
