This is the 3rd plane I'm building using 1/2" blue foam from LOWES.

I'm part way into the build on this plane. If anyone's interested, let me know and I will start posting my progress.

Re: 56" blue foam F4 Phantom pusher

Here's what I've done so far.

- main wing has an 8mm carbon tube in it
- rudder and elevator each have a 4mm carbon tube in them and have been covered with 3/4 oz glass and WBPU.
- motor and speed control are mounted
- tubes for elevator control rods have been run thru the fuse

Re: 56" blue foam F4 Phantom pusher

They carry the 1/2" foam at the store on Green Lane. It comes in 2'x6' sheets and is always stocked. So far, I've been able to build 50" to 56" long planes with two sheets. The only thing that needed to be pieced together has been the main wing.

Re: 56" blue foam F4 Phantom pusher

No work today because of the cold.

Cut slot for rudder and dry fit. Going to do some initial sanding.
