if a stranger reads this.. will it help or detour the reader?

cause its def not doing anything good imo... i don't get why others care what others do so much? is it not just a hobby? if someone goes or doesn't thats their choice, even 10 members at an event is better then nothing... like you said yourself you could be driving hours to race or just hitting a parking lot.

see u at the track
OK, this statement pissed me off, why would you say crap like this ? And attack Johnny personally ?
Are you a mod ? I thought maybe you were..
I really don't think Johnny is into it for the glamour & exposure, he likes to race, competitively, not who's got the most cash to dump into their R\C wins.
Remember what your mother said "if you can't say something nice, then don't say it at all "

I race all the time at Pete, I am a member, but won't make the 1 hour drive up, just to maintain\work on the track.
I paid my membership fees, thus, I think it entitles me to "just race" when I want to.
They seem fine with it, because I paid my cash & support the track as much as possible..

If you pay your membership fees, it's not a contract to go to every race.
I did see your setup at the Pickering Race & it's pretty cool, I don't see why you can't run MT's on it.
I've approached DRCRC about making a MT class, but they just said no.

We all have a R\C interest & should just be out having fun with peeps with common interests.
I never worry about where I place in a race, geesh not like there's a crap load of cash involved..

Drcrc Track

We have made it very clear in several posts now that our track is not set-up to handle MONSTER TRUCKS. We designed our track for On-road cars only! No offence to Off-road guys and vehicles, I own 2 savages myself as do my partners, but the boards and pins can't take the impact from the weight of the monster trucks. Besides why the heck would you want to run a MT on a pavement track anyway? Were is the challenge in that? Any time you would like to try some on-road racing you are more than welcome to come out and run with us. If you need to pick yourself up an on-road car come on out to our swap meet on the weekend, I'm sure there will be lots of great deals to be had. The track will be set-up so you will have to opportunity to try out your new ride.
Please note that our policies and rules will still stand for the swap meet and Test and Tune. Everyone must have a frequency clip before turing on their radio and non-members must pay the usual $5 for a frequency clip and day pass.

Hope everyone had a Great long weekend and we'll see you on Sunday.

Dave

Yea, after I saw the track at Pickering, i figured that was the reason.
Have you tried it though ? it does look tough.
On road MT Racing is hot in Kingston, they add a few jumps, & run road rages.

When's the swap ? Aug 12th ? Time ?
I may check it out..
