Re: 126" Carden Extra 300 - BBT - Build Thread

Thanks Jack for including me in your maiden today.!
What an awesome plane. Great maiden !!
Its hard to explain i words guys how awesome this plane flew today
The fantastic look of it is indescribably in words and only truly understood when you see it in person.
Jack flew it with incredible Smooth confidence and the sound of the Da 200 and cans was enough to bring shivers down my spine and a grin from ear to ear.
The Power that plane has is easily felt as Jack flew by and gave a sense it was a full size plane.
It was -8 C and trying to follow the plane threw a small view finder was a challenge in its self and i lost it in some places due to to glare of the sun. i hope it turns out.
Great build Trever and Great Plane Jack

Re: 126" Carden Extra 300 - BBT - Build Thread

The maiden went off without even a hint of an issue...It's the absolute best combination of components I've ever had in a plane....That along with the fantastic build Trevor did (Thx again ) has made for the best airplane I've ever owned.

These 4 cylinders engines have to flown hands on to truly appreciate what they do..The power in the midrange is so much different than twin cylinder engines...After you have flown 4 cylinders you could say that twins really have no midrange torque.

The 126" Carden 300 is very nimble in the air and handles alot like a 35%er when you want it too....It's a Carden, enough said

Thanks Wade for taking the videos..Very much appreciated...We should see some video in a couple hours by the time they process.

I will do a thorough check of the plane and charge the batteries and hopefully be out Sun. or Mon. again

The plane simply

Re: 126" Carden Extra 300 - BBT - Build Thread

Glad to hear it went well Jack!! From my experiences with my Mintor220, I hear what you are saying - you really only need to fly around 1/2 throttle and response is lightening quick and it feels like a tractor or a big diesel in the air - unbelievable torque!

Almost like having a plane with cruise control - just hold the stick at one position and watch the motor do the work on big vertical uplines, etc!!!

These 4-bangers really need to be flown to be appreciated! Glad the plane held together - looks like it's going to be an awesome summer!!

Can't wait for the videos!!!

Cheers

Trev
