Novak or Castle Creations Brushless System

I am currently doing a brushless conversion on my 1/8th scale buggy and truggy and still debating on either a Novak HV Brushless system or a Castle Creation Mamba Monster Max system. Anyone with experience or opinion on the 2 systems to recommend would be appreciated. To throw in a third choice lets also include the Losi Xcelorin Brushless system. Thanks

The three of them are all arguably the best, but I would be throwing my money into a Castle Creations Mamba system first...PERIOD!

Angry

i just bought an eightE yesterday and it cogs like crazy, I'm going to try and return it, hopefully it's just a faulty esc. so i'd look else where for a motor/esc.

re novak hv brushless system

id stay away from the novak hv brushless system with the 5.5 turn motor as it seems to have thermalling issues.

a few guys who ran this in their e-revos had thermalling of the esc after running it hard .

i have the mamba monster max with a neu 1512 1.5d in my e-revo and the esc barely breaks a sweat after running it hard on the track.

for ease of programming you cant beat castle creations speed controls. and if you want extreme speeds the mamba is the way to go.

The Novak and the Losi 8th scale electric systems that I have witnessed are not quite ready for prime time yet. I'm sure they will revise the designs so that they are reliable with their next revisions.

I have been running my Castle Monster Max with a Neu motor with great results.

I have not hear too many good things about the Novak system. I think out of those 3 the Mamba system is the most stable. I would like to see how the new Tekin system stacks up. It should be out soon.
