You want you local hobby shop to compete with that crap. Oh Okay!

As I say some people can't see past their nose but cheap is cheap and that trumps all.

When Apple starts their factory up in the U.S. I will be first in line to by a new MacBook.
Even though it will be a token factory?????
Also just because you like to buy something you need to move there. Melamine in all the milk........

Re: Google Ticking Me Off

I find this discussion very amusing, 90% of everything you buy today is Chinese made or parts and material sourced from China or other third world country because no locals will work for $2 per hour. Irrelevant who sells it. I think it is time to pull our heads out of the sand a bit and see new reality. If you want to support local hobby shop good, I try that myself, do that, but lets not sound like Americans and their 'buy Us' crap, their heads are so deep in the sand they can't see daylight. Unfortunately outside of glue and few thing I have to buy all my stuff outside Canada, I fly gliders and no LHS stocks anything for that. China does have some but Europe has most of it. Do you want to boycott them?
In many LHS , Horizon Hobby is very prevalent, 100% Chinese. ...........So lets get a little real here.

Re: Google Ticking Me Off

"Europe has most of it. Do you want to boycott them?" Nuts!

I buy a lot of stuff from Europe including my new Graupner MC20. My much loved JR XG11 is in NOT made in China. All of my 90 or so JR servos are not made in China. I go out of my way to avoid Made in China. Just me, as I detest there belligerent treatment of others as in Tibet. How about their claim on all most all of the South China Sea.

Go shopping at the Costco in Markham and see how wonderful you get treated.

Re: Google Ticking Me Off

I really do not want to nitpick, but you would be shocked how much of your JR stuff is made in China, just assembled in US, maybe, not sure if they even assemble there. Everyone with a brain rejects what China is doing in the world, but, US manufacturers, using them as their third world cheap source of labor, created this superpower, inadvertently with their own greed. Hobby King took advantage of the same thing, being ruthless in uncontrolled Chinese market, just they went around the profit makers and is selling direct. The greatest looser here, is the Chinese peasant who has to work there in those conditions to satisfy western insatiable appetite for cheap goods.
I now step off my soap box.
Marry Christmas to all!

Re: Google Ticking Me Off

Is there any point to this thread?
Is it just to rant about cheaper hobby products?

Re: Google Ticking Me Off

We can all learn something from these threads and everyone has thier own opinion but it must be kept civil.
We are all basically the same as modelers, the best people in my opinion.

None of the JR stuff is made in China NONE and none is made in the U.S.

Japan or Malaysia are the two main spots. That's why I stick with JR.

I will leave this thread now Bill.

Happy Holidays.....

Good, now we can address 'pointless'

The point of this thread was:

1. to teach cloudniner about blocking advertising
2. to teach clouniner that the fine americans at google track every word he types
3. for cloudniner to troll/rant about HobbyKing, who obviously spend bucketloads of money advertising through google, hiring US employees to refine and advertise their product, how much better Japanese is than Chinese (sounds kinda racist), pointing to all of China's political and Economic growth problems like the US didn't do the exact same thing (except they actually used the word slave).

so, mostly about the trolling.
