As I suggested to my son a shoulder wing plane like the Ugly Stick (or Great Planes Big Stik) makes a great second plane. The suggested Kavalier is a very good flier but its looks are a little dated. My son opted for the Eindekker in stead of the Stik as he liked the looks better.

As far as I know there are no kits made for the Stik designs at this time. But, I have a set of plans and have been trying to download the kit not ARF manual. We could help you make up a short kit which if you follow the instructions would be not much more difficult than a kit.

As to a low wing I do not know if the 4 star would be suitable for a second plane. Other similar planes are the Astro Hog and Super sportster series. I don't know how you feel about a high wing scale plane like a cub, Taylorcraft, Beaver etc. they are another option.

The Waco looked like a good deal. Peter's designs usually fly well. Go to the build thread which is referenced from the Manzo Laser Works web site and go through it.

Friday at indoor we can start to go over wood and other needs, make up a 'buy sheet' of materials as well as a build order etc..

Re: What to Build !

Just more ideas. No balsa here, and your new building board would be a waste. Minimum cash if you crash. http://www.spadtothebone.net/SPAD/
