Chris, are you using the stock wing tube? Have you tried an 8mm CF rod? It may help with the flapping. I have an EG pro that I used fibre tape, applied spanwise, on the top and bottom of my wings. This make them very stiff. BTW, I have a Easy star that I'm not using if anyone is interested. My setup was too heavy for the small plane so I went to an EG pro. It has a motor installed and will have a pan and tilt mount. PM me if interested, you may get a great deal as I'm open to help someone get into FPV.

Brian.

Hey Brian

(PM Sent.. looking forward to hearing from you - but will be out now for a few hours.)

I am using the stock tube. Don't know if you saw Dan's post on how to drill it out? Looks like some great options. I am also a huge fan of tape and have some plans that have more tape than the original material

Cheers

CP

Re: GoPro on EasyStar over a new subdivision

Wasn't planning on putting this in the for sale section, hoped to give someone a deal. Some pics of my easy star, never flown. I have a box up front for a HD camera and an extra piece added to the pan and tilt to raise it up over the HD camera(so I could see). I think the motor is around 2000kv (HK inrunner). I'll also add a plush 25a esc that has a jst connector added for a bec. The jst was the wrong one so be careful when esc powered if a load not plugged in. I should have put a male connector on for safety. I put in a lower battery bat access hatch. No tail mods. If you want it Chris, LMK.

Re: GoPro on EasyStar over a new subdivision

Nice setup Brian, I am interested too unless Chris got it already . I am curious to how the star handles the weight on your setup. I broke down and bought a cheap video camera and strapped it in the cockpit area pointed to the side. It seemed to work well but fairly nose heavy and I didn't want to add weight to the tail just because of the amount I had on already. My camera weighs 100 grams more than the go pro specs. Is that alot for this plane(269g)? Thanks in advance

I never flew it as it was too heavy with all the gear on it and I had a feeling I would need all the power just to get it airborne. I picked up an EG and use the gopro for both rec/vtx, which saves weight. OSD's are smaller and lighter. Alot has changed in 3 years. I would go with the gopro/case setup. PM sent Chris.

Ted - Sorry man I have accepted Brian's offer... One can never be too rich, too thin or have too many planes!

(Besides, da wife bought new shoes yesterday so it is only fair - right?)

Yup, sold to Chris. Thanks for all the interest. Chris, we can hook up in the future, no need to send funds now.

Cheers, Brian.

Re: GoPro on EasyStar over a new subdivision

No worries guys, it would probably cost me more in shipping than the plane is worth. I am just happy with the information .
