I recently purchase a used JR XP 9303 with the spectrum 2.4 module. Does anyone know what recievers are compatable with it? I'm new to the hobby and went this direction simply due to costs. It is a step up from my 6 ch 72 mhz xtr

All of the DSM2 and DSMX receivers from both Spektrum and JR will be compatible.

A good bit of info here:-

https://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=109435

I personally have six of those RX have flown with and without satellite Rx and found them to be great, I flew my old SIG Kadet Senior out as far as I could safely see it, no problems at all, I have just the Rx in my Radian and again no problems.

One comment I will make on the HK Orange receivers, I would not suggest putting them in anything expensive, just remember that you're taking a higher risk with them.

Have you had any problems with them losing signal or crashing?

Re: what recievers work with tbe spectrum 2.4 module on the Jr xp9303

one more thing you should know the receivers dsm2 and dsmx are 2048 resolution , the transmitter based radio is only 1024 resolution even with a new 2.4 module. though all the receivers mentioned will work, you will not benefit from the higher ability of these newer receivers or the high res servos. you will also not be able to use the model match feature .

one last note ,It's not just the orange receivers you have to look out for .(Target Hobby) is passing off exact copies of some of the spektrum receivers for a fraction of the cost of a real one . a spektrum 3100 car receiver that normally sells for $99 goes for $9 on that site and it looks exactly the same . they also sell the ar6100e/ ar500/ and satellites for the bigger receivers. they all look great but must be knock offs for that price. watch out for anyone selling this line up of receivers "new" for half price . always ask if it's a real spektrum, get proof of purchase or just get it from the hobby shop yourself, this is not the place to skimp .

Roger
