yes I hope to be going up in the world.

Comparison, not really more like an observation. I have this DA100L that is a honey of a motor, not compared to anything else. Just treats me well.

Hanes, I stuck my DA 100L into last years Extra 300 to see what I had bought. Loved it, Jack will tell you how I loved it. My DA 150 I loved it, but moved it in a ready to fly sale. All the DA 170's I've seen have all been great.
As a first 150-170 class engine I would highly recommend either big twin Da's

I'm taken by the Big QUADS, they seem to have some teething pains yet. With their high price to play, I am wish for some more reliability. I buy for keeps, I don't tend to sell too often.

My first choice would be a 3W (the wife being of German background makes for an easy sale) But used was what's in the budget DA's are an easier find.
