Greeting all
I need help deciding what prop to put on my Funtana 50 w/ the Evo .46 engine. I have a MasterAirscrew 11X5 on it right now and isn't very good. RPM is high but not very fast and went through tank of fuel in 6 minutes. Any suggestions? I am not experienced enough for 3D and learning some aerobatics at the present time. Any help would be appreciated.

12.25 x 3.75
12 x 4W
12 x 5
11 x 6
10 X 7
These are all APC props...the MAS scimitar props are not too bad, but the black master airscrew props will twist and unload at high RPM..

If you want speed go for a smaller diameter and higher pitch, but your vertical performance will suffer.

If you want vertical performance, go to a larger diameter and smaller pitch prop.....straight and level speed will be less, but it will climb!

I have the evo .46 on my Twist. Although I like the 12.25 X 3.75 APC and have flown that prop many times on my OS .50SX, I find that it loads the .46 Evo too much. To-date, my best prop has been a 12 X 4 APC for the .46 Evo. The engine really performs well with it. Hope this helps. I have approx. 2.5 gallons through the Evo and found it to be a very good engine. Good luck!!

I would have to vote for 12.25x3.75 or 12x4w, you don't want a Funtana to fly fast.
