Look again chaps… that "Saito" is actually one of the first generation OS 120 FS that had two separate rocker covers!

Note the helical camshaft gear (vs Saito spur gear) plus a few other clues.

one this was a real old OS engine!!

2- it was baddly damaged before.. the CYC. broke right off the crank case... and had be welded back on.

Sorry my mistake on the first one... I am an ENYA man myself!

I am pretty sure that the Bucker had a Saito though.. could have been an OS.. didn't really look that close.

Some time ago this engine had the cylinder head snapped off in a crash. The engine was disassembled and the cylinder casting welded back in place. The inside bore was indicated and skimmed to remove any welding residue from the inside. The repair went through the lifter bores so they to had to be remachined. After everything was reworked and cleaned up it was reassembled and when it actually ran it was as big a surprise to me as well as all those who were watching. In that repaired state that engine has run for over 2 years now without so much as a burp. I don't think it owes anyone anything after all it’s been through. I think OS and Saito are wonderful engines and this shows just how tolerant they are of our treatment of them in a very rough environment.
