This engine likes the OFNA T4 or a O.S. P3. The 97T will be great for break in but the other 2 will help the performance.

plug

Have been testing this motor for this season, so far the best plug i have found that as Vic said is the OS P-3, idles great and best all around performance. Any more questions you might have about this engine you can pm me or see me at the track.

I am not a fan of OD 97 in these engines...makes them very poor on fuel.best bet is something like a Werk's #6 or a Picco #6....

I know, as that was the plug recommended to us in the beginning, and since the JL came out mid winter we couldn't test for ourselves till spring...The 97T seemed to work fine in the colder weather, but once it started warming up people started to have issues as the 97 is too hot....Once spring hit here we tested a pile of plugs and the results were the best with the Picco's, then later the Werk's came along and did as well as the Picco's.....You definitely see better tuning and mileage with a colder plug....

I say, take the advise from a former Champion!!!! Stilly knows his engines. and if he says OS-P3 gitty up and get one!

From my experience last year, I will never use or take advise from these wannabees or so called pro mod guys. If its not "factory tunned" its just second hand garbage.
