I have wired some LEDs for a boat mast in parallel but they don’t light up the way I think they should. I have done some research and discovered they should be wired in series with resistors. I’m sure there is a circuit board out there that would take care of this but I am probably just going to go back to Radio Shack (oops…The Source) and buy a bag of resistors and wire them in with a 9V battery.

Could someone who knows what they are doing please look at my schematic and tell me if I’m on the right track. The Shack LEDs don’t come with any specs so my numbers (Vf) are based on averages I found on the net. I used 20mA for the resistor calculation. Also not sure which wattage resistors I should use (1/4, 1/8 etc) 1st year college electronics was a LONG time ago!

I also want my blue LED to “double blink” like a police light but that might be stretching my talents!
