Sunny For Sunday
Hi Fellow racers,
THe weather looks great for Sunday, so lets have a big turnout for the race. I promise to be there even if I break all my trucks on the way to my car....(hope that doesn't keep to many racers away) Have a great week, and see you at the track. Mike

Also guys,
Remember to read the rules sticky at the top of the Maritime thread. Throttle return springs are a must, and no center diffs in standard monster trucks. I realize a center diff conversion is available from traxxas for the revo, but if you want to run it, your truck is no longer concidered a standard monster truck and must be run in the unlimitted class. Also, it is very easy to tech for a center diff, so don't try and slide one by, if caught you will look quite ridiculous. Mike

THere is an optional center diff for the revo. Our monster truck rules do not allow a center diff. Not much to explain...

If you put this part in your Revo...
you will be put into the unlimited class, just like Mike said The optional center differential can help balance the distribution of power to reduce front end lift on acceleration and improve steering responsiveness.

Peter, without being too technical. the use of a center diff gives an advantage in the way the power is distrubuted to the ground and more adjustability. Also they permit front and rear brakes to be adjusted separately(bias). Most companys do not make center diff conversions for their monster trucks so the rule of no center diff is to keep it fair for everybody running in that class. Truggys are faster than monster trucks as they are highly tunable, have a low center of gravity, are light in most cases and handle like a charm. The truggy class as grown realy fast this year in the usa,the trend will most likely get around here eventually but meanwhile, the monster truck class is the biggest here and we have to make shure we keep it fair.Remind me on Sunday to get Coady to show you his truggy and Revo so you can see the differences. Michel.

The term truggy originated years back when truck lovers started to take 1/8 buggys and make them wider with adapters and truck tires and bodys, they made trucks out of buggys(Truggys). Nowadays the good truggys on the marcket have proper suspension geometry as the arms are longer and so are the chassis.
