Daddy Needs a new pair of Shoes

Hello Again!

Got my Jato3.3 going and it rips, so much fun!

I have been looking into getitng some offroad tires to shred some lawn, however it seems that the Jato3.3 wheels are 2.8" and all the kick tires I found fit a 2.2" wheel,

the guy at the hobby shop told me i was pretty much out of luck, and that only the Traxxas 2.8" wheels would fit the Jato. (the guy at the hobby shop may-or-may-not be a moron)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Moron

Hi ask if the older 2.2 rims will fit your jato and go with that. It is like Losi using 20mm nuts that no one else does.

Hope that helps

no they both use 2.8 u need to go buy some 2.2 rims if u wana have a large selection of tires but traxxas has alot to choose form now and also there r aftermarket but u will have to do some research on that 1 . easyest thing to do is buy some 2.2 rims and check for clearance or grind them on the inside so they dont rub .

You cant just buy 2.2 rims and expect them to fit....They Won't. He is going to need to get the $5.00, 2.2 conversion kit which are a couple of shims for the front wheels. If you don't get the kit, the wheels will wobble all over the place.

You need the 4mm grub screws to replace the blue button-heads on the rear hub.(They will Rub!) Then you need the shims for upfront to eliminate the slop. You never jam stuff on, parts are meant to fit.
You may have had those old all star rims that had the groove built into them for the button head to move. I am an avid member of Traxxas.com, I know how this process works from the other 40000 members on the Jato Forum.
