Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

I too fly engines without expiry dates
I sell them before they blow up
Also no bookend gp's here
As I only own one and its never seen fuel yet.
Building an arf is like owning a computer from the 80's
Slow to get going but when it worked it worked
Owning an mvvs or 3w is no different then buying a vw lol expensive and parts are hard to find you gotta have money to own one
Arfs are great I just keep flying. Break one and flying again in a day if I have the time and stock.

Re: The never ending engine thread, East-West

My friend Brodie, is a great example.
Us old farts need to be open minded. All the things we Bit-complain about, are the same things that bring us together (Brodie/I)
Through ARF's, and cost effective engines Brodie (and others) has started in this hobby. I really enjoy Brodie, so enthusiastic. A joy to be around, and with. His excitement helps fuel my old sorry ass.
Now Dan, is just entertaining!
The young blood in our club sure makes me look like the old farts of years ago. I'm fortunate they still include me. Best of all they help drag back my carnage (dumbass!).

My flying club, and friends are a branch of my family.

Jack, my mother said once she realized what her real hobby was. Starting projects (knitting/sewing). I now realize I have the same hobby.
Just righting it down, makes me feel better about it. Makes me want to go deep into the dungeon, and dig out my old Ziroli Stuka, see how much of my golden Balsa stach it will burn up to complete

Jack you know two of those piglets are going to be called Jack, & Dale.
