Re: Vibration

Is the main gear warped or bent? I've had vibration in my 500 as result of that.

Re: Vibration

I'd put forward - just because it's a new kit - don't assume that everything is as it should be. Parts can be (and are sometimes) defective right out of the box. I've bought brand new feathering spindles for my 450 that were already bent straight out of the bag. Doesn't happen often - but it does happen.

If you have a vibration it's because some spinning bit is out of balance. 3 possible causes:

1. Something's bent.
2. one side is heavier than the other.
3. one side is LONGER than the other.

Pull out a ruler/yard stick and start measuring stuff in the head. Use the main shaft as a point of reference.

Check the head block - make sure it's straight and machined properly - ie: the hole where the mainshaft goes in is centered, that's a tough one to find but wreaks havoc.

If all else fails, try putting your head and tail on a high point balancer.

Just a few ideas to mull over.

Re: Vibration

Done most of those even blades although there's one that noticed one of my main blades is a bit tight when inserting on the blade holder.

I will be trying my other blades to see if that is the issue.

Re: Vibration

One way to see if anything is off centre on the main shaft is to spin it as slow as you can with the motor without blades on and watch both tail rotor and main rotor shafts. At a slow spin you will see any wobble that exists
