well, goblin 700 down Bummer! Just installed my HC3-SX back into my goblin 700 and a new Jeti Esc, this was the second time this happened.

This time again, i was hovering ( maiden ) and the tail kicked out again, about 1.5feet off the ground and i panicked, and pushed bail out witch send the heli up, but when you let go and forget to be MID STICK it plows it into the ground ASAP!

BAH! about 280$ bill, i didn't break the blades OR the tail boom OR any electronics or the canopy

Re: Not a good day at the field :(

Dump that HC3SX .... I've had one situation with the HC3SX that gave a full positive bail out on a inverted flight ... if you don't believe me ask HeliInsane (Keith) ... I was only testing it on a Trex 450 so the repairs were cheap ... after that I switch to Ikon and never looked back! I too had issues with the tail using that FBL system and couldn't be bothered to try to sort it out! I'm not saying that a properly tuned one is not a good system ... but I do know that it's way more complicated then it should be! Good luck with it!

If i hadn't pushed bail out, with my stick at full neg pitch i might not have had that good of a crash, might have been worse, i was side on, and the heli was drifting. I lov emy HC3's they work great, i had an ikon and it was good to.

Not sure if i'm going to fix my goblin700 or sell all the parts and save $$ to build another heli.

ooohhh no, that sucksss.

throttle hold baby, throttle hold lol.

I've never been one to trust bail outs either. Never tried one either but have seen em in action

The way I thrash the heli, bailout is too late already for me haha

Bummer... but you're making me think of a Simpsons episode.. OK, everything makes me think of a Simpsons episode...

Okay, let's see.
Oh, you can buff that out.
We can buff that out.
That's factory error.
Oh, that thing is supposed to be on fire.

Re: Not a good day at the field :(

The bail out, has save me hundreds of times trust me i do some stuff that i don't normally do it works and works VERY WELL!!

I just installed it back into my goblin 500 with new setup, and went over every setting with Seasick she's good to fly ! Now for another maiden.. Might get one of the really god flyers at the field to hover it and check that the tail doesn't walk out again if it does at least they can save it.

Re: Not a good day at the field :(

Dont mean to knock you here, but perhaps you should work harder on orientations and recovery before always hitting the bailout when doing things you dont normally do. If you learn orientations, you won't need bailout. Tail blowouts are something you need to learn to recover, especially when you start learning backwards flight and tail slides.

I know my orientations I was panicking because it was the second time, and wanted to get it down safe, ( safer )
