LO....sheeeesh!
O.K., Marc, a question for you then.....if the numbers are as they are stated indicating about a 14% increase in expenditures year over year with about a (14% ?)increase in dues being considered, does this make sense to you from a business standpoint during these times of recession and low inflation?

The numbers ($75 and $10) aren't large, but the optics are questionable when you look at the percentages...Ron

But I guess that is what web forums are for...

Re: MAAC Financial Statement

Wow! Lets see off the top of my head so far since Christmas I have spent $100.0 on a kit, $40.00 on fuel, $150.00 on balsa/lite ply, $70.00 on various supplies $30.00 on props (dumb Thumbs) $40.00+ for gas driving to field and hobby store, $60.00 for club dues, I am sure I have missed something. Think I will complain about $10.00 increase in dues to MAAC, not likely. I think over all MAAC does a pretty good job.

Thanks for clearing that up Chad ... LOL!!! LMAO!
Frank is there any breakdown on this "Special Projects" expenses??? I don't remember it from years past and if it was there I don't believe the expense was significant. It seems to have gotten substantial but I would like to know the breakdown if possible.

The question is not neccessarily whether or not MAAC does a good job. If your club rasied its dues $10, would you not ask for a justicfication, or just pay and laugh? Do you not look for the best value when shopping at a hobby shop (price/service etc) or just pay and laugh?

I see time and again the relatively low cost of MAAC in relation to the other expenses in this hobby as a justification for increased dues to be okay. Not so fast!

Re: MAAC Financial Statement

Do keep in mind that you are discussing a PROPOSED budget for 2010, it has yet to be examined in great detail and the increase is simply a recommendation at this time!
