What a beauty!!! 600 rpm idle and 5370rpm with the Fuchs 34x12 prop and with it being warmer, it's really rich!!!! I'm pretty confident that I'll get 5500rpm by MaidenFest

Lots of taxiing And the smoke worked good!!!!

Hopefully Scaleguy can post some video tonight
What an incredible idle and if it's really rich I wouldn't doubt you'll see a good deal more than 5500..................3W

LOL...It had to be tempting to just go for it.

Could you see if there was much smoke fluid being unburnt. I suppose the exhaust temps may not be quite as high as if you were putting on a performance..

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun.

Hopefully Jim can keep a few clips in the video of the slight lift-offs... I think you'll see that they were brief!!!

That being said, I'll only need 5 feet to have this thing airborne... What a floater!!!!

Jack... Even "The DA Kid" was mpressed with the motor, LOL!!!!

It's so quiet.. Jim measured only 99 db at 9 feet..

Kinda reminds me of a bit F350 King Ranch Diesel... Extreme torque with minimal noise!!!

C'mon ScaleGuy..... Where's the video????????????

Yep.. It was tempting, for sure... My son kept at me also the whole time.... "daddy.. When are taking off....."

As for the smoke fluid, I have it on a throttle mix and even at full, the pump is only at 15%... the smoke is dense white... Like lose-sight-of-your-plane-in-a-hover dense

A VIDEO WOULD BE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

Never posted video before.

What do you use to edit?

I had the camera on from the time we got there till after the "Taxiing" and part way through dissassembly so there would be a lot of boering stuff and would be to big for U-Tube if I just post raw video.

HELP!

Jim... I'm with Brad... Window Movie Maker 2.6 is awesome.. import all the video into WMM2.6, cut out what you don't want, and in titles and credits and export to your desktop and then load to Youtube!!
