The season is going to be starting soon.

I would like to build one of these planes but getting blucore in Canada seems to be quite a chore.

Has anyone found a store that stocks it or a good substitute?

I thought blue core was just another trade name for what I know as styrofoam sm. If that's the case, virtually any building supply store has it, and it comes in a variety of thicknesses from 1/2" on up to 2" for sure and possibly even 3".

Or I'm wrong, and in that case just disregard everything I've just posted

Dow Blucore or Fan Fold Foam is 1/4" by 4' by 50' folded every 2' (so 25 sheets to the bundle)

I can spot you a couple of sheets if you can meet me in the Milton area.
Moving there end of the month.

I got my mother-in-law to bring in a bundle from Buffalo.

I already have a 9x4 sheet of 1 inch styrofoam sm but it doesnt do me much good when I need 1/4" thickness.

As the guy above me posted this is really thin and a huge amount for a pretty low price if you can find it.

Blue Core or Dow Protection Board is roughly 1/4" thick foam typically used as insulation under siding. However it doesn't meet our building codes in Canada so it's impossible to buy here. You have to travel to Lowes in the US to find it.

Speaking of which, I still have half a bundle of the original Blue Core... which is very hard to find. This has the plastic sheeting on both sides and is likely the strongest version of this foam. I am considering selling it as I have moved on to slicing my own foam from 2" thick sheets. It finishes far nicer than Blue Core.

Anyone live around the Kitchener area willing to take it? Say $10 for the 1/2 bundle I have left?
