Re: Blue Foamie

LOL... you need to watch more closely at some of my videos .

Check out the Cobble indoor vids at: http://youtube.com/uberjay2

The latest one is on the home page there.

We typically, fly with streamers, yes... but if you're up there and someone gets your streamer you have two choices:

a - land and get a new streamer
b - keep flying and try to get someone else's streamer

Option 'a' can lead to loss of air time and the 'gentle' ribbing about being a wuss and all .

Option 'b' is WAY more fun, but one assumes the risk that with no tail the others will go after your plane.

Most of us choose option 'b' and go on the 'last man flying' wins rule.

With EPP (read: I really don't condone this with an Axis ).... seriously very, very, little unrepairable damage. And by that, I mean that normally a quick pit fix and the bird is airworthy again.

In a rare case someone will lose a rudder pushrod or something and just tape it straight.

It seriously IS a @#$@! load of fun! We even have a couple kids warming up to the idea. The two of them go at it with their vapors .

On a serious note, though, I would never dream of wrecking your Axis in combat - either flying it (if you choose to let me now ) or flying near it.

Everyone is good here about clearing the air of any non-combatants. Very clear!

You'll have to try it when you come down next. Next year you F3P schooled guys will be flying circles around us combatters and stealing all our ribbons.

Jason
I was also kidding, I've watched your videos and that's one thing I noticed, not everyone does the combat scene. I wouldn't be worried to bring my Axis either, I'd love to be there someday.

Northern Ontario F3P contest results.

It was a great day all around with 10 competitors fighting it out. With three rounds flown, gravity and the floor seemed to be the biggest winners in the end.

Final scores are as follows:

Gaston 3000 points First place with three winning rounds
Lee 2831 points A close second
Dan 2689 points Podium finish in third
Kent 2683 points one winning round
Stephane 2224 points
Kyle 1991 points
Dwight 1781 points
Spence 1207 points
Hugh 942 points
Brendan 803 points.

Thanks Gaston and all that attended. I can't wait to do this again.

Brendan

Brendan
Thanks for posting the results and for the hard work you did before, during and after the event. It would have been impossible without your help.
