Thanks! It really is nice, but I see a lot of the Swiss scheme on sport jets so I wanted to change it up.

This is what it looks like at the moment, hopefully will look different again by the end of the week.

Looks great Sean!!! Peter was telling me that the V2 is now made in a different location and is of much higher quality!!

I've gotta say - I'm pretty impressed with the fit and finish of Peter's V1, so I bet your's is killer

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Progress Update:
* I've given the airframe / set-up a solid once over... all looks well
* The air system is up and running, including the AirBrake and JetTronics valve for the piston end-points. The retracts and brakes are working awesome. After playing with this Behotec gear - WOW! Amazing quality
* CG is set per the advice here
* Smoke system and fuel system is complete + turbine is set-up + radio is matched to the turbine
* I've got a start on the set-up of the PowerBox Cockpit SRS / dual R6302 SBUS Rx's - should be able to finish the programming tonight and get the radio set-up for all the control throws

What's left:
* Strap down the batteries in the nose
* Change out the UAT with the new Cat system (we're waiting on it to arrive)
* Add some CF to the cockpit for some bling-factor and clean up the wiring/tubing
* Purge the system and fire up the Kingtech140
* MAIDEN!!!!!

The only thing holding me back now is waiting on the new Cat header tank - probably only another 2-3 nights of work left.

Peter is right. They cnc cut all new molds and are now being made in the Czech Republic. The materials and quality is very nice. Hopefully I don't undo all that good work and finish by my painting. Lol

There are a lot of cool CAF F18 demo/special schemes that would look nice on the Scorpion!

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

Lol. That was supposed to say "Keep posting!" not "Keep posting?". Lol.

My masks from Ralle at Tailormade showed up today so color should happen tomorrow and Friday! In the meantime I did make some progress on wiring harnesses and equipment trays, etc.

Here is a shot of the lower tray as it starts to fill up. It's actually two trays, one in front and one behind that fuse former.

Re: Aviation Design - Scorpion

And the upper tray just houses the service items needed. A couple of these items are just place holders as some items were still on order. The tray is a lamination of 4 pces of 1/32" ply to get the correct curve to match the canopy hatch. Then some simulated poly carbon sheet for looks.

Paul, my ply had a price tag of $15.99 from Norburn Hobbies. Brings back some memories of Larry's store. Is it still there in Burnaby?
