Help with electronic pairing

Hello everyone,
I am new to the rc scene since putting away the old Team Associated RC10-GT truck I had as a child.
I am interested in building a cheap Versa Wing pusher with the cheapest ebay electronics. I know this sounds so bad and I'm looking to start as cheaply as possible without causing am electrical fire

I will attend charging of the battery outside for safety. I also would like a low voltage cutout Esc.

Re: Help with electronic pairing

A lot of people like the Plush ESC's. Worth the upgrade I would say.

Don't even bother with the charger. Cheap ones like that with no way to monitor or adjust the charge program are a good way to start a fire. lol Way, way more worth it to get something like this with display, adjustments, multiple battery types, can be run from 12V Deep Cycle battery:

Electric flying is pretty much seeing how close to a dead short you can run without setting it on fire.

Re: Help with electronic pairing

When considering buying ac chargers offshore , they will not be CSA or UL approved for 110 vac use and if a fire is created , no house or garage insurance. Buy cheap and that can cost later when problems develope when replacements are needed.
I am on the Thunder Power mailing list for when their specials come out up to 50% off and sometimes free FedEx shipping . Can save some good dollars when that happens even with the exchange rate.

Re: Help with electronic pairing

If you buy the ESC from fashionwomenssale I think you start getting spam related to women's clothing. Ask me how I know(did not buy an ESC but something else). The battery seller is 98.4%, too low for me to deal with.
Nothing wrong with those chargers. They balance to the 4.2 level and quit, so they do their job.

Re: Help with electronic pairing

Low voltage is fine but when used with 110VAC then that can be an issue. Don't remember what the CSA low voltage cutoff level is but when at our 110VAC must be CSA or UL (USA) approved.
Didn't make a comment on the workings just the power source used. A number of years ago I forgot my good charger at home and borrowed an inexpensive charger
at the field and ruined one of my good lipos.
In any case; just threw some information out there for consideration and if the user is comfortable with using a non CSA/UL charger then go for it and don't blame anyone if something goes wrong. I believe that users should be informed ; take it or leave it.
